Do I need a solar controller to charge the 12v battery?

We suggest to match a solar controller. It will be more better to do protect charging for your 12v battery. We provide optional solar controller. And we will choose the right solar controller type as per your 12v battery info.

How long time it can fully charge a portable power station?

Because the solar panel charger is without a battery to store energy and it can not produce out stable power, you will get unstable current under constantly changed sunshine. This will cause different charging time. Also, the full charging time is totally decided by the battery capacity of your portable power station. This 45w solar panel charger is only max 2A out, if you want a fast charging, especially if you have a large capacity battery, we suggest the larger power model, like 100w, 120w, or even 200w.

Can this 45w solar panel charger charge a laptop?

Yes, our 45w solar panel charger can charge laptop / notebook. There are total 10 DC adapters which are for brands of laptops. (The 4 DC adaptors for portable power station already in the 10 DC adapters.) Just find the right connector for your laptop and you can connect it with the solar panel charger. If you find there is no charging, it is normally due to the weak sunlight, not a product problem. The 45w solar panel charger is max 2A. If you want real fast charging, we suggest a solar panel charger above 80w.

Is the 45w solar panel charger waterproof? Can it still work if I forget it in rain?

Yes, it is waterproof. Both the solar panel charger surface and cloth cover are water resistant. The waterproof level is as water splashing. Please do not put it in rain for a long time or soak it in water. But the cable lead and the USB port are totally not waterproof. If you forget it in rain, please use it after it becoming dry.

What is the difference for ECTFE and ETFE?

ECTFE is an improvement of ETFE. Under the ETFE surface, it is added with a special film, which can protect well the solar cell. So that we can make the PCB board to be thinner. Even little flexible for the solar panel is no problem. By this way the solar panel is still strong enough, but its weight will be dropped. If a same design of 45w solar panel charger made by ETFE craft, weight will be around 1.5kg. Thus this ECTFE 45w solar panel charger is around 1.25kg. Also the good quality and performance of the ETFE is still kept, such as higher light transmition, higher temperature and corrosion resistance, with better charging conversation and longer service life.

What are the package included?

The 45w solar panel charger package includes 1x45w solar panel charger, 10xDC adapters, 1x30cm Micro 5pin USB charging cable and 1xmanual. The solar controller with battery clamps will be optional, if no special request, it will not be in the package.
